With severe weather season in high gear, here's a reminder that the Carl Junction Police Department utilizes nixle to send out severe weather alerts in real time via text message. All you have to do is text your zip code to 888777 and opt in to the messages. You can also sign up to receive these alerts via email if you choose to.
